The Political Resurrection of Saint Paul

As far as most theologians are concerned, Saint Paul has never really gone away. He has, of course, been reconsidered and appropriated for different ends on many occasions. But since Nietzsche's tirades, the philosophers have let him be and seem to have gradually forgotten about him. Some recent philosophers, however, have noticed him lurking about on the edge of theology, looking a little frustrated and perhaps even just a trifle bored. Jacob Taubes was one of the first to do so and to realize that there is still a lot more that Paul wants to say.
