Donoso Cortés in Berlin (1849)

The Kreuzzeitung2 published the following tribute to Donoso Cortés in a dispatch from Paris on May 4, 1853: "Not only Spain, but all of Christianity has suffered a great loss as a result of the death of the Spanish envoy to the court of Louis Napoleon, which occurred shortly after 9 p.m. yesterday. Don Joaquin José Maria Donoso Cortés, Marquis of Valdegamas, was born in 1809.
